At 14,410 feet of elevation, Mount Rainier is the most prominent peak in
the Cascade Range. It is located in Washington state about 50 miles south-east
of the Seattle-Tacoma metropolitan area. An active volcano that last
erupted about 150 years ago, is is encased in over 35 square miles of snow and
ice.
This is my favorite U.S. national park. My friends Paul and Olivia and I camped
and hiked every day during our stay.
